The app for your safari

Every animal you see,
named, mapped and yours.

Wildspotted turns your safari photos into a living diary: our AI tells you which animal it is, your map shows where you saw it, and your collection grows with every sighting. Even with no signal.

Free on iPhone and Android.

Why Wildspotted

A safari goes by fast. Your memories shouldn’t.

Was it a cheetah or a leopard?

Hundreds of photos and no idea which animal is in half of them. Wildspotted tells you on the spot.

No signal in the park

Most apps stop working in the bush. Download the park map before you go and keep using it offline.

Lost in the camera roll

Your best moments end up mixed with screenshots. Here every sighting keeps its animal, place and date.

What you get

Six reasons to take it on your safari

Know what you saw

Take a photo or pick one from your gallery. IA.Go, our wildlife AI, tells you which animal it is, and you can always correct it.

Your safari on a map

Every sighting where it happened. Download the park and see tracks, roads and names with no coverage.

Collect species

Every new species joins your collection. Earn badges for the Big Five, the great cats and much more.

Talk to your driver

If your safari company uses Wildspotted, chat with your driver and ask for what you need for any day of the trip.

Rankings and friends

See who spotted the most by animal, park or country, and follow other travellers’ safaris.

Share the best moments

Send a sighting to family and friends with a link that opens even if they don’t have the app.

Travelling with a Wildspotted company?

Your whole trip in one tab: My safari

Many safari companies give their guests Wildspotted. Then the app also connects you with your driver and the company during the trip.

Join in a second

Scan your driver’s QR code. If you don’t have the app yet, the code takes you to the store.

One chat for everyone

You, your travel companions, the driver and the company, in the same conversation, with notifications on your phone.

Ask and see it done

Vegetarian lunch, more water, a stop at the market: choose the day, write it, and watch it go from pending to done.

Rate your driver

At the end, tell the company how it went. Your rating is anonymous.

How it works

Three steps, before and during your safari

1

Before you fly

Install Wildspotted and download the map of your park while you still have Wi-Fi.

2

On the track

Photograph every animal. IA.Go identifies it and saves it on your map, with or without signal.

3

Back home

Relive the trip on your map, look at your collection and share the best sightings.

Wildlife first

Great photos should never help poachers

Other people’s sightings only appear on the map 24 hours later, and the location of protected species is always blurred. You can also make your profile private.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes. Wildspotted is free on iPhone and Android.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. With the park map downloaded you can take photos and use the map with no coverage. Your sightings are sent when you are back online.

Do I need to book with a particular company?

No, anyone can use Wildspotted. If your safari company works with us, you also get My safari: the chat and requests with your driver.

Which animals does it recognise?

IA.Go recognises the most-seen safari animals, such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, giraffes, zebras and hippos, and estimates across a catalogue of 175 African species. It learns from every correction.
